Dawn Post joined RMC Health in September 2023 as the Supervisor of the STEPP Program and Facilitation. In this role, Dawn is responsible for leading the organization’s work in the implementation of the State Tobacco Education Prevention Partnership (STEPP) in Colorado under RMC Health’s contract with the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE). Her work includes building the knowledge, skills, and capacity of local health agency and education professionals to create tobacco policy, system, and environmental changes to improve health outcomes for children, youth, and their communities.
Dawn is a passionate educator and champion of young people. Prior to joining Action for Healthy Kids and RMC Health, Dawn spent several years launching and growing college and career programs with Aurora Public Schools in Colorado.
Dawn received her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Tennessee and her master’s degree in recreation administration from California State University, Chico.
A former college athlete and high school coach, Dawn is passionate about sport and young people having access and support to try new activities.
Anywhere on, in, or near the water is her happy place. She also enjoys the challenge of keeping her teen boys well fed and evening walks with her husband and dog.
